Where entertainers come to be entertained ...

Hi, following requests for another night of musical mayhem, we have acquired the use of the

Chilton Country Pub & Hotel

Black Boy Road Fencehouses Houghton-le-Spring

County Durham DH4 6PY Click for directions

The evenings are held fortnightly on a Tuesday and we kick off at about 8pm, although early arrival is advised as it is already very popular.

We’re looking for all entertainers in Acoustic / Electro acoustic style and we’ll have a PA with mikes, effects and a couple of small acoustic amps. Also there will be bass gear and Uncle Colin as resident backing guitar/synth. It’s a lovely little venue so please come along, strut your stuff, and have a laugh.

Hope to see you there, Regards

Jim Tait

Tuesday 19th July 2011

Hi everybody, loads of thanks to everybody who came to The Chilton Country Pub last Tuesday, the 19th July. What an atmosphere! no primadonna's, no huge egos, just great music, food and a lot of fun. A special thank you to Dave Crawford for bringing Faye and Adam, whom I feel we might just see in the future. Great to see Kevin on kit, it makes such a difference when we have drums but we do realise that our percussion heroes can only make it when they're free. The same, of course applies to everybody so thanks again everybody for being there.
New number from Delaro - enough for a CD soon. Keep it going boys, you're on the right track.
Happy new banjo Stuart, great stuff from you and Danny as usual. Big Bad Alan Prudhoe paid homage to his Brother Sylveste and Geoff sprung a surprise on the band and did a song in D - how dare he!!
Snakehips Eddie showed us again how chewing gum can make you play really well and Hodgy caused a few fires when we all got home, burning the axes.
Thanks Ray for your injection of humour and of course a special mention to Stu and Col for their ever-present help and occasional smile.
See you all on the second of August which just happens to be Rudi West's Birthday so I'll have a word (bribe) and see if we can get him there.
Cheers everybody,
Jim
